Designed for individuals who are involved with quality management systems, implementation, and auditing to the AS9100D standard for Aviation, Space, and Defense, this course will provide an overview of the preparation for, and execution of the audit process as defined in this standard. This course provides training on the standard itself but also insights on how to lead or conduct internal audits and supplier audits.

This course is authenticated by Probitas™ and qualifies for third-party auditor certification. It is taught by in-service, credentialed lead auditors. There is 40 hours of instructional time, followed by an exam. Learners must complete the full course and exam to be awarded certification.

This course culminates in a proctored exam in which you will need your camera on.

Who Should Attend

This Probitas-credentialed training program is designed for quality professionals in the aviation, space, and defense industries who seek to be certified to audit to AS9100D as a third-party practitioner. For those seeking recognition as a IAQG 3rd party auditor, the IAQG Aerospace Auditor Transition Training (AATT) course must also be completed.

Prerequisites

Participants should have experience as quality management professional or internal auditor and have a basic understanding of the AS9100 standard.

You must complete all course contact hours and successfully pass the learning assessment to obtain CEUs.

Fengmei Dong, Dan Rossman, or Dario Yamamoto

Fengmei Fengmei Dong has worked in the Aerospace and Aviation Industries since 2002. She began as manufacturing engineer, technologist supervisor, director of the quality management office in an aircraft system design and manufacturing company. She conducted third-party audits to aerospace standards AS9100 and AS9120, as well as developed training material and teaches courses related with aerospace standards. Ms. Dong is a global AS9100 Lead Aerospace Industry Experienced Auditor and PRI Training Instructor. She teaches quality courses such as AS9100 Internal Auditor and develops course material on AS9102 First Article Inspection. Fengmei Dong has a B.S degree in Polymer Material and Engineering, is an AS9100:2016, AS9120:2016 Rev. D aerospace industry auditor certified by Probitas Authentication.

Dan Dan Rossman has worked in the Aerospace and Defense Industries since 1992. He began as a Quality engineer in the defense industry, later as a supplier auditor and Field Quality Engineer for Honeywell Aerospace and as a Quality director. Since 2001, Dan is directing a consulting firm operating in the field of quality management for the aerospace and defense industries and provides training, auditing, and consulting services. Dan is a AS9100 Lead Auditor and Aerospace Industry Auditor (AA) certified by IAQG and an SAE International Instructor for C1501 Common Training for DPRV Personnel and and C2211 AS9100D Third-Party Lead Auditor. Dan holds a practical engineering degree in aeroengines mechanics and a degree in business administration.

Dario Dario Yamamoto has worked in the Aerospace and Aviation Industries since 2004. He began as a plant, engineering and quality manager for manufacturing and aviation companies and has eleven years’ experience in education as an Engineering Program Coordinator, university professor, and a Certified Bombardier Aerospace Structural Assemblies Instructor. Dario gained expertise in AS9110 maintenance and manufacturing experience working with companies such as Alpha Star Aviation Services (Saudi Arabia), Turborreactores ITR, Ketema Aerospace Mexico, and the Aeronautical University in Queretaro (UNAQ). He conducts third- party audits to aerospace manufacturing standard AS9100, as well as offering instructional and consulting services on gap analysis, internal auditing, and development and implementation of quality management systems to AS9100, AS9110, OHSAS 18001, and ISO9001. Dario has developed and implemented NADCAP special and manufacturing processes, process mapping, root cause analysis, 8-D and 5-Whys Problem Solving, risk assessment and operations staff training and certification.

Dario is a global AS9100 Lead Aerospace Industry Experience Auditor and an SAE International Instructor for courses related to SAE’s AS13100 standard such as C1501 Common Training for DPRV Personnel and C1878 MSA Requirements. He teaches C2211 AS9100D Third-Party Lead Auditor, C1877 Developing and Qualifying an Alternate Inspection Plan, and C1917 AS9145D Requirements for APQP and PPAP.

Dario holds a B.S degree in Metallurgical Chemical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), is an AS9100:2016 Rev. D aerospace industry auditor certified by Probitas™ Authentication, and an ISO9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor certified by Exemplar Global.
